Five travel items I won’t travel without

Whether you're planning a two-week vacay in Europe or a quick weekend getaway in Napa, these are five travel items I use religiously.

1. Apple Air Tags

There is nothing worse or more frustrating than having your luggage lost. I never travel without Apple Airtags in my luggage and in many cases, even just my purse (because leaving your purse behind at a restaurant is also a nightmare!) Save yourself a headache, and invest in some type of tracking devices to keep in your bags when you travel.

2. Travel Hangers

Yes! Whether you're staying in a hotel or going on a cruise, there never seems to be enough hangers provided! We even keep these in our RV because they are collapsible and easy to pack and carry anywhere. And the best part is they are dirt cheap on Amazon. You can usually get a 20-pack for under $20.

3. Hand Held Travel Fans

I don't know about you, but trying to sightsee in 95-degree weather when you feel like you're about to melt or faint is not my idea of fun. So, we never leave for a trip without a handheld fan that includes a water misting feature (it makes ALLLLLL the difference.) Charge these babies up at night when you're sleeping and you'll be ready to go the next day!

4. Portable Power Bank

Have you ever been sightseeing only to see that your phone is dying? Yeah, me too. At the top of the Acropolis in Athens. I'm pretty sure the entire city heard my scream in horror when I saw my phone was about to poop out. Don't let that happen to you. Carry a charger with you at all times. Let my tale be a cautionary one!

5. Mulit-Purpose Power Strip

We have learned to never to depend on hotel or cruise cabin plug-in outlets or USB charging stations because they are never enough - especially when there is more than one of you needing to charge phones, iPads, laptops, portable fans, etc. So always bring your own, and have plenty of options for charging your favorite gear.
